Don't Punish Pain Rally in California April 7
#1
Greetings fellow kratomites,

I too am greatly concerned about the restriction of opiate prescriptions for chronic pain patients.  So much so that I joined the team putting together the Don't Punish Pain rally in Sacramento on April 7. This is a nationwide rally to commemorate Pain Awareness Month and gather media attention.  Our rally in California is dedicated to representing all pain patients whether they take pain medications or use alternative therapies like CBD or kratom. We believe we must all band together to have a united voice to keep our treatments legal and available.

I hope you all will consider joining the rally in your state. You can get more information by joining the Don't Punish Pain Rally facebook group. However, I have a question.  I would love to arrange to have the AKA have an informational table about kratom at our rally in California.  I will even staff it myself if needed.  Does anyone know how to arrange that with the AKA?  I am wary of just sending an email to the general email address.  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Chelsea Wind

Good on you for diving in! I really like you approach of hey if you cannot I can. It is quite refreshing in a world were people are "why don't you do this, why don't you do that" but when I ask them why they do not, just excuses. I am sure the AKA would want to support a noble cause with our bothers and sisters in the pain community. Keep us updated as I would love to hear your progress in this journey.

Good news! Please keep us in the forum in the loop. I know your plate is full, but feel free to stop by when you need a break. Sometimes it helps to brainstorm with like minded people, or just clear your head with a moment of fun without judgement. What brings you to our little corner of the world?

I really appreciate that. Its quite a fight.
My story is, I have fibromyalgia and migraines and myofasial pain syndrome. I was on opiates for 10 yrs until I moved to a new county. The drs here wouldn't prescribe enough to keep me out of pain but pushed high doses of gabapentin. I was a member of NACU through a friend in a fibro support group. I went off the pain pills and gabapentin and never looked back.
Kratom controls my pain better than opiates ever did without the nasty side effects & pain management contracts. I am 46 and finally feel like I can live a full life! I am so grateful to the kratom community for all the wisdom & support I've received in the last year.

Wow..that is a full load to bear.... i am glad that you found Kratom amd the forum. I bet the AKA can help you with the rally. It sounds like you have much to share with the other cpp that might visit. I could only ask you to share as much as you can... so when others with your conditions arrive they have your experiences to help guide them.  Smile see you in the threads...remember to say hello!

I'd like to attend.  That's far off though for me. I don't know how my health will be.  Especially with the ban looming
